Troy Brooks
I have been a licensed agent for over 25 years experienced in insurance, banking/finance, and mortgage. I have worked for major companies such as New York Life, Pennsylvania Life Insurance, Dialog Direct, AmSouth Bank and Regions Bank just to name a few. I am Licensed and authorized to sell annuities, life insurance, MAPD plans, Medicare Supplement, 40lK, GIUL and IRAs.
I believe that family is the cornerstone of our society. My love for my family is certainly the ultimate focus that moves me daily to ensure mine and others are covered through the unfortunate circumstances that may arise.
My passion for serving others has set the stage for building Brooks Insurance Brokers, LLC (BIB) into the company it is today with agents who personify that same spirit. With our brokered approach, we are armed and ready to service our seniors and others. We provide the best products on the market for their healthcare and insurance needs servicing Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Virginia, California, Utah and other states.
As a military veteran for many years, I was an ROTC Administrator/Instructor at Alcorn State University, training cadets on how to be an “Officer and a Gentleman”.
My prior civic duties and organizations in Mississippi, before coming to Texas, I was very active in Natchez, MS and Adams County. Branch Manager of Regions Bank, former President of Natchez Trace City Kiwanis Club, Board of Directors AJFC Community Action Agency, Board of Directors of Natchez Downtown Development Association, Member of Natchez Business and CIVIC League, Member of Living Word Church of Christ, and Member of Natchez Chamber of Commerce.
We at Brooks Insurance Brokers, LLC believe that “service is the rent we pay for living on this earth.” It is the very purpose of life, and not something you do in your spare time.
Patricia Mims-Brooks
My career began as an administrative assistant after graduating business college in 1973. I have worked for several fortune 500 companies such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, W.R. Grace Oil and Gas, Diamond Shamrock, Verizon, T-Mobile, Comerica Bank just to name a few. As an executive assistant to Directors, Sr. Vice Presidents and Managers, I learned from these experiences, grew as a person and developed those skills to becoming an entrepreneur.
I have a rich background for serving others. I volunteered for the Dallas Urban League of Greater Dallas for 36+ years and served as Dallas Urban League Guild President for two terms in office. Prior to becoming president, I served as Secretary, Treasurer, Liaison etc. My signature program was “The Gifted Ten” scholarship initiative where 10 accomplished seniors were provided scholarships because of their devotion to serving the community.
I met my husband, Troy Brooks, Sr., in 2016 and he retired me in 2018 to work along side him in the business we now run together as “Brooks Insurance Brokers, LLC”. I got licensed in 2017 and he taught me everything he knew in the business and we haven’t looked back. I get the most pleasure in my life every day waking up to serve the senior community and others with their healthcare and life insurance needs. What an honor it is to love what you do serving others and making a living doing so.
